The Institute of Fire Prevention Officers, an international fire prevention and fire safety Institute, is pleased to announce the annual IFPO Technical Trophy Competition, sponsored by Hochiki Europe Ltd, a company distinguished by the experience and expertise of more than 80 years as one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of industrial fire detection products.
The competition is for the best Technical Paper or Essay on any fire related subject.

To enable participants to formulate a paper, the following subjects are given as a guide.
1. Fire Safety in the Home - are we getting the message across?
2. Fire Risk Assessors - who is competent?
3. Fire Safety Training in the Workplace - is it effective?
4. Fire Engineering Solutions - do they increase the risk?
5. Fire Risk Assessments - what is suitable and sufficient?
6. Passive Fire Protection - is its installation and maintenance effectively monitored?
The closing date for entries is 20th September 2012
